The University Writing Center (UWC) is available  to students, faculty, and staff at any stage of the writing process and for any type of writing. We offer 45 minute appointments with trained undergraduate and graduate writing consultants. Though we offer support developing your text, we do not offer proofreading or editing services; we are, however, excited to facilitate a learning experience.

The University Writing Center will start offering appointments for the Summer 2025 semester on Monday, May 19th. We are completely remote for the summer, so there are two types of appointments available. Please review the descriptions below and select the appropriate response on the appointment form.

• File Upload Appointment: These asynchronous appointments are when you upload your paper for consultant feedback. You do not need to be online at the time of an file upload/email (asynchronous) appointment.  You will receive feedback via email at the end, or you can log back into your WCOnline appointment to see your consultant's comments.
• Video Chat Appointment: These synchronous appointments are when you want to have a real time chat session with the consultant about your paper. You need to log into ecu.mywconline.com for your appointment time.
